Official checks before you commit

Buffalo: Buffalo is not a one-neighborhood city. Give downtown and Canalside, Elmwood and the museum district, or the West Side their own day. Do not use an airport-area hotel to save a little money if the weekend is about downtown, AKG, and meals. The transfers eat the value fast.

Niagara Falls: Do the boat and Cave of the Winds on separate passes through the park, not as a race between ticket times. Keep the falls core for a walking day and use a car only for the extra-day geography.
