How Guided Voyager collects, uses, retains, and shares personal information.
Effective date: August 24, 2026
Guided Voyager operates Guided Voyager. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use the Site, create an account, save or share a trip, subscribe to email, or contact us.
Contact: legal@guidedvoyager.com.
Section 1
Information we collect
We collect information you provide, including your email address, display name, account credentials (stored in protected form), saved-trip details, planning preferences, newsletter choices, and messages or requests you send us. Do not enter sensitive personal information—such as passport, payment-card, booking-reference, health, or government-ID information—into trip fields.
We also process technical and usage information, such as device/browser details, pages viewed, referring source, general location inferred from IP address, and interaction events. Essential cookies are used for account-session security. We use Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the Site.
Section 2
How we use information
We use information to provide and secure accounts and planning tools; save and share trips at your direction; send newsletters or trip reminders you opt into; respond to requests; understand and improve Site performance; prevent abuse; and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use sensitive personal information for unrelated purposes. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the Site is not directed to them.
Section 3
Sharing and retention
We share information only as needed with service providers that help operate the Site—such as hosting, email delivery, analytics, and security providers—or when you direct us to share a trip. Providers may process information under their own terms and privacy practices. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including account administration, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and security. You may request account deletion, subject to records we must retain by law or for legitimate security purposes.
Section 4
Your choices and rights
You may use the “Your Privacy Choices” link in our footer to turn off Google Analytics. We also honor a browser Global Privacy Control signal for this purpose. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in an email and turn off trip reminders from your trip workspace. To request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your personal information, contact us at the email above. We may verify your request before acting and will respond as required by applicable law.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, appeal a privacy-rights decision, or complain to a data-protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Section 5
International users and changes
The Site is operated from the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate; those locations may have different privacy laws. Where required, we use an appropriate legal basis for processing, such as consent, performance of a contract, legal obligation, or legitimate interests that do not override your rights.
We may update this policy as our practices or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy and revise its effective date. Please review this page periodically.
